CONCERNING BODY PARTS

It's true - blondes do have more fun!

It is only two weeks ago that I went to the hairdresser and then to The Magic Circle where I was greeted in a whole different way from past times. It had taken only the addition of some blonde bits and a full fringe to make people somehow treat me in a more light hearted and fun kind of way - marvellous stuff. And in return I feel more relaxed around people like that, I can tease them when they tease me, it's really a whole new world.

Meanwhile...

Life dramas continue in the Cox/Davis household. My back, which isn't great at the best of times, has decided to play up big time on the eve of going to Edinburgh. I decided not to waste any time and went straight to the chiropractor only to discover my guy was away and a charming, excited colleague treated me instead. She was full of her wedding in ten days' time and she gave great massage... but not good enough it seemed as, once the 'bruising' had died down the original back pain was still there, only to worsen over the weekend.

So it was back there yesterday and - boy did Jeremy find the bad place! If I hadn't been laying down i would've passed out with the pain as he immediately prodded exactly where the troublespot was. Hopefully the treatment will hold up and an additional one on Friday should sort it enough. It's chairs that are the problem. I can't find any one at home that's comfortable enough to sit on so I get up aching after sitting in front of the computer or TV. Edinburgh isn't going to help with backless benches and other temporary seating arrangements....

Rob has also been suffering, his problem being an infected tooth and gum.

He had to resort to a very expensive trip to an emergency dentist on Saturday with a root canal treatment lined up for tomorrow. So he's been in constant pain and hasn't been sleeping at all.

So we've been a miserable pair - only enlightened last week by an overnight visit from a couple of Aussie magicians, Tim Ellis and SueAnn Webster, on their way home from FISM. We had a great time playing tourists with them and taking them to the Roman remains of St. Albans, stopping off at the oldest pub in the country (naturally), then a meal at our favourite local restaurant where they are now offering two courses for £8.95. I'm not telliing you where it is in case you all go there and there's no room for us!
