ALI BONGO - WHAT WILL WE DO WITHOUT YOU?
Back when the last Harry Potter book was published Ali Bongo and I had a really super day holding workshops for children who had won a competition. Ali was very taken with the owl - but decided in the end that he probably didn't have house room for it!
I have lost a very dear friend and supporter who attended every single Young Magicians Club workshop and was an inspiration to all - he was always available to help with tricks, presentation and all types of magical knowledge. He did say recently that maybe he ought to learn some advanced card skills as most of the members were far better than he and kept asking him for advice!
Ali was one of the few people who understood my aims without me having to spell them out and he was able to help a lot of them to come to fruition. His invaluable guidance has made me a better magician than I could ever hope to be and his confidence in me has helped me to believe in what I do and what I am. We were not fair weather friends but he knew I was always on the end of that phone line when he needed to talk things through or just wanted a bit of company. He has left a huge gap inside of me as well as in the lives of many, many people of all ages.
And we'll all continue to do the Foxy Wrist Tie!

Lovely photos, Diva!
Great to see Ali in conversation with Hedwig! And to get a glimpse of some wonderful examples of Ali's fabulous costumes.
Actually, you look pretty magical, too, in that great wizard hat that I believe was once owned by a powerful necromancer in Venice...
Best of all, those photos of Ali with the members of Young Magicians' Club, busily helping the next generation of sorcerers to polish up their sorcery!
I love that hat which was your responsibility entirely - and I wish I had more reasons to wear it!
Thank you once again for that truly amazing gift!
You wear it, I am sure, with great care - knowing it's powers! ;-)
On the basis that you'll never know if I don't tell you... You were tagged a few days ago...
